At Calic, we aim for literacy without fluff. So here we have some handy-dandy posting rules for you to adhere to.
And remember guise: wolf roleplay is not srs biznez, but not being a dick is.
Please note that we use liquid time here - meaning you can have as many threads at once as you like.
- 1. Word counts. For thread starters, the minimum is 200 words, but we would prefer you went above 250. For subsequent introductions of characters on a thread, the minimum is 200 words. For general posting, please keep a minimum of around 150 words, unless the situation calls for shorter posting (such as conversation between two characters). In those situations, try to keep above 100 words.
- 2. Please avoid small fonts in your posts. It is difficult for people like me with eye problems to read, and gives a lot of people eye strain.
- 3. Similarly, please avoid bright colours.
- 4. Spelling and grammar is a must. Occasional mistakes are fine, but keep in mind that most browsers have a spellchecker, and you can use a word processor as well, so a post riddled with errors will be commented on. If you continue to make errors, I might be very juvenile and redline you like a primary school teacher.
- 5. Be descriptive and literate, without being fluffy. Guide here.
- 6. Romance and fighting is accepted, but keep the hey-sailor to PG-13 level, and if you absolutely must, just take it to PMs. I don't want to see it. Fighting must be regulated by a staff member as a judge.
- 7. Swearing (or cussing, or saying naughty words) is perfectly fine. People say bad words in the real world. If you can't handle that, you should probably not be on the internet.
- 8. Along with fluffy writing, Mary Sues and their other-gender equivalents are banned. Guide on how to make a non-Sue character here.
- 9. Research! We have as much information on physical species descriptions as we can, but it's up to you to find behavioural information. Unsure of something? Your friendly local cat and Roamer are here to help.
